E.VOKE
E.VOKE is a sensory dining concept built around sensation and the memory of taste, opening as a series of intimate private dinners. The aim was a wordmark that could carry the brand and still hold up across menus, print, screen and signage.

V1 The wordmark started by hand. Visceral food images were kept in mind as the wordmark had to eventually flow with them cohesively. I sketched the structure of each letter, finding forms where each letter could break the rules, before rebuilding the forms in Illustrator. This first round ran expressive.

DIRECTIONS Three territories opened the exploration, each with a different tone. Classical Instinct was calligraphic and crafted but pushed slightly out of line; Sharp Appetite was heavy and direct, built to stop you; Ornate Edge used blackletter as a deliberate move against the minimal default of Bali's dining scene. Each came with its own wordmark and visual world, tested to see how far the identity could lean.

V2 Concept 1 moodboard was preferred but the execution read too expressive. So the second round pulled it back: cleaner strokes, tighter swashes, the edge kept but the hand quietened.
